Andrew Whiteaker

Andy is a Partner and Head of the Employment team at Boyes Turner, having specialised in employment law for over 20 years. He advises clients in a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including human resources support, providing employment support for mergers, acquisitions, and disposals, employment tribunal litigation and negotiating and drafting executive service contracts.

He focuses on providing practical advice, seeking to identify pragmatic and commercial solutions to his clients’ needs, and provides training to in-house legal advisors and HR professionals, as well as drafting and presenting bespoke training seminars and workshops for clients. 

He is a member of both the Employment Lawyers Association and the European Employment Lawyers Association.

Barry Stanton

Barry took on the role of Managing Partner in September 2023 prior to a formal appointment in June 2024. After joining Boyes Turner in 2001, Barry led the Employment Team from 2009 to 2023, helping establish a dedicated business immigration service. His knowledge and experience spans a number of key industry sectors where he has helped businesses achieve their strategic goals.
 

Rather than delivering top/down leadership, Barry seeks to engender an inclusive and collaborative approach with others to ensure that they are fully engaged in the growth and development of the firm and the achievement of its goals.

Helen Goss

Helen is a partner in the firm's Employment team and heads up the Leisure & Hospitality group. She advises organisations and senior executives on all employment and HR related issues in a commercial, creative and pragmatic way with a focus on achievable solutions. Helen has particular expertise in complex and multi stranded discrimination, breach of contract and whistleblowing claims.

She has been ranked as "an expert" and "leader in her field" for the last 20 years in Chambers and The Legal 500.

She is also an experienced workplace mediator and executive coach.

Katie Harris

Katie Harris is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the firms Employment practice group. She provides strategic advice on all aspects of employment law to a broad range of clients from large global corporates, to charities, local SME’s and private individuals.

Katie has a particular interest and expertise in complex tribunal litigation, disability discrimination, and employment status issues including the application of IR35.  She also regularly advises on and assists with the employment aspects of corporate transactions and has successfully acted for both corporate and individual clients in relation to the enforcement of post-termination restrictive covenants.

Natalie Wood

Natalie is an Associate - Solicitor within the Employment team and has experience advising employers and employees on a variety of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.

Natalie completed her law degree at Cardiff University and graduated in 2015. Following graduation Natalie worked as a paralegal in the Employment team at Clarkslegal and within the Banking team at Shoosmiths. Natalie started her training contract at Shoosmiths in 2018 and completed seats in the firm's Litigation, Commercial, Intellectual Property and Employment teams. She qualified as a solicitor in September 2020.
